About the Hosts!
Greg Kyte is a contradiction: he's a licensed CPA and a standup comedian. His first career was teaching middle school math, but once he realized that — due to the low pay — the dream of home ownership was slipping away from him (and the realization that he couldn't stand those little bastards) he went back to school. He earned his undergrad in accounting from Utah Valley University and his MBA from Utah State University. He has been teaching ethics and fraud CPE for a decade. As a standup comedian, he has headlined clubs in the western US, and once was the opening act for Weird Al Yankovic.

Caleb Newquist is an erstwhile CPA. This angers Greg. Not because Greg still wants Caleb to be a CPA, but because Greg hates words he doesn’t understand. After spending 5 ½ years establishing a gainful career as an accountant, Caleb decided to write on the Internet for a living. He became the founding editor of Going Concern where he aired the accounting profession’s dirty laundry for almost nine years. Despite his best efforts at becoming borderline unemployable, Caleb still writes about accounting for a living, and doesn’t have to eat out of a dumpster. If this podcast doesn’t work out, he’ll probably just go outside and look at the birds.
